Congratulations all round! A superb first night. First couple of songs were rather drowned out by the band but that soon seemed have been adjusted and after that all was well. Sound had a bit too much reverb (excellent for the abbey scenes, but out of place elsewhere) and the mechanical noises of curtain movements picked up by microphones is
a bit intrusive, but that's just technical nit-picking by me because I can't find anything else to moan about. Production excellent, cast excellent, costumes excellent.....all round excellent. The memory of a very weakly staged ending to the last Norbury production of Sound of Music is finally erased from my mind! Thanks for almost enjoyable evening everyone!
