Excellent programme of films! Looking forward to them all. Just hope that winter weather and/or seasonal viruses don't keep me away!

'The Way' was an unusual and very pleasant film. The flimsy 'plot' of a man going to retrieve the body of his son who had died whilst on a pilgrimage in Europe was beautifully developed to involve a diversity of characters and their background stories. Beautiful scenery, no violence and few 'action scenes' other than those of people walking along footpaths, through fields and old towns and villages along the way. More in the audience than I had expected on yet another cold night for a film which was not packed with star names and had not made the headlines. My kind of film.

Saw The Woman in Black at the Old cock last week. What a scary film that was!

I enjoyed 'The Descendants' and am looking forward to 'Tinker Tailor.....etc'. I remember watching the famous (definitive?) TV version of more years ago than I like to think of and hope that the film lives up to my hopes and expectations!

I jut about followed the plot of Tinker Tailor when it was a multi-episode TV serial but I got hopelessly lost in the film! Now looking forward to 'Quartet', sounds like my kind of film, No sex and violence or car chases! (I hope!)
